There are Fairies in Our Library *

Fairy Door Workshops

In partnership with Manchester Libraries Children's Service, the project engaged children aged 5-11 in five local Manchester libraries. Participants crafted their own fairy doors from recycled materials as well as a telling us about the fairy that lived behind the door they had created!

A total of 12 workshops were delivered, resulting in the creation of 189 fairy doors

Fairy Doors Exhibition

Five libraries hosted a final exhibition featuring photographs of the fairy doors created by participants and their families alongside QR codes

The door gives them the choice to explore their imagination and talk about who lives behind the door.”
